Friday – Schedule Change

28 Oct

By now I am sure you have heard the news, Fringe is not on because of the World Series and CBS is running repeats of all its shows.

What can you watch?

Grimm premieres tonight at 9pm on NBC

I have seen the pilot and I highly recommend this show.

Watch it, and let me know what you think.

Friday 10/28 What you should watch

27 Oct

Fringe (TV series)

As always thanks to Zap2it for the listings

It’s Friday – The Top Spot goes to Fringe. Fox 9pm ( as long as there is no baseball)

Be still my heart Peter (Joshua Jackson) is back, I can’t wait for the first scene with him and Walter (John Noble).

If the World Series preempts Fringe then I will check out Grimm it premieres tonight. I got to see the pilot a few weeks ago, this is definitely going to be on the DVR.

Grimm

Episode: Pilot
Detective Nick Burkhardt discovers he is part of a line of profilers charged with keeping the balance between humanity and mythological creatures.

My second favorite Friday night Show

Blue Bloods

Jamie and Renzulli are injured by a church’s security team while responding to a 911 call, and Frank must deal with the fallout

A Gifted Man

Michael runs into a former patient who is now homeless; Michael examines a patient suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder

Supernatural

Episode: Slash Fiction
When murderous clones of Sam and Dean are created, the Winchester brothers become wanted men; Sam and Dean turn to a quirky surveillance expert (Kevin R. McNally) for help

Revenge – Very Intriguing Indeed

27 Oct

I knew I it, I knew Lydia wasn’t dead, I saw her eyes flutter when they showed her on top of the cab, but logic said she had to be dead.

She is the character that will not go away. Emily got lucky when Frank went after her, but if she wakes how will she deal with her if she hasn’t lost her memory and the first word out of her mouth is “photograph”.

Last nights episode took a break from the Revenge of the week formula, so Emily could take on a new threat Tyler; aka the Talented Mr Ripley. I can’t decide if he is in love with Daniel or just wants to take over his life.  This will eventually lead to his demise, he will be the one shot on the beach.

It’s a damn good thing Lady Victoria has so many parties, it keeps Ashley employed.  Isn’t she viewed as the help, would the rich boys really date the help?

Someone please tell Madeline Stowe to lay off the Botox, she needs to let her face relax. It’s really tight and waxy and it detracts from her acting.

All in all this was a solid episode, it advanced the main theme, and added new intrigue with Tyler and Frank.  Can’t wait for next week.

Casting News – Ringer casts Andrew’s Ex and Juliet’s Mother

27 Oct

Ok, its not the casting I hoped for, but the addition of this character will certainly makes things interesting.

Ringer cast Andrea Roth, most recently of Rescue Me and Blue Bloods as Andrew’s x-wife and Juliet’s mother.

Thursday 10/27 – Charlie Brown and Vampires

27 Oct

Thursday is my favorite night for television, because, it is Vampire Diaries night, don’t get me wrong I love Revenge, Ringer and Fringe but Vampire Diaries consistently delivers.  Revenge is gaining, but TVD has two seasons on the newcomer. You never know what could happen in the next few months, TVD could stumble.

Usually the Thursday night top spot goes to TVD, but this week it goes to the best Halloween special ever made. I great life lesson if there ever was one.

It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown – 8pm on ABC

Pray for Scott Olsen, whether you agree with the Occupy Wall Street movement or not, pray for this young man. He was exercising his constitutional right to free speech

Blind Item

It didn’t take long

the character Fonzie from the sitcom Happy Day...

Which two leading ladies on this new show are already at odds over screen time and line counts. They look about even on-screen, but apparently one thinks the other should have less since her character is becoming more popular with fans then expected.

Sounds like what happened with the Fonz and Richie, and we all know how that turned out.
