Delaying the return of show can be a crap shoot, for Bones it was a win.
It didn’t win the 9 o’clock hour in either rating or total viewers, but the numbers were stong compared to its competition.
Here is a breakdown
Grey’s Anatomy had the highest rating/share for the 18-49 demo with 3.6/9, Bones was second with 3.3/8.
Person of interest was number one with overall viewers 11.76 million, Bones was second with 10 million.
So Bones was a solid second place in ratings and viewers.
Lets see how The Vampire Diaries did, not so good. The Big Bang Theory just kills it every week.
Big Bang had the highest rating/share for the 18-49 demo with 5.4/16 rating/share, TVD was 4th with 1.6/5 rating/share
Big Bang was number one with overall viewers 15.98 million, TVD had 3.5 million.
Believe it or not this was a season high for TVD.
Just in case you forgot here’s a quick recap of rating/share, it specifically measures the 18-49 demo, this the group who are more likely to be influenced by advertisers and to purchase what they see advertised.
- Ratings are defined as the estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
- Share (of Audience) is defined as the percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
