Monday October 1 What You Should Watch

1 Oct

It’s the second week of the new season, Mob Doctor hasn’t been cancelled, yet.  Castle had a stong start last week, and Dancing With The Stars All Stars is having the best ratings of its run.

My pick for tonight is Bones, it has become a new show this year, congrats team Bones.

After an explosion in a hotel garage, the Jeffersonian team tries to identify victims by investigating remains found at the scene; Sweets works with a temporary partner (Danielle Panabaker) while Booth works on the department’s budget.

On Beckett’s first day back from suspension, she and Castle investigate a weathercaster’s death, and try to hide their relationship from their co-workers.

Episode: No Quarter

Finally the new season is kicking into high gear this week. Welcome back 2 Broke Girls, Castle and Dancing with The Stars: All Stars

Its the long awaited morning after on Castle, will it be bang or bust for our favorite couple now they have done the deed.  And can the show survive this major shift.

We also have new episodes of Bones and Revolution.  Did you watch the pilot of Revolution? What did you think? Is this going to go the way of Flashforward and The Event or does it have what it takes to make it.  I need to see a few more episodes to get a better sense of where we are headed.

Castle and Beckett set aside questions about their relationship in order to take on the forces responsible for the murder of Beckett’s mother.

2 Broke Girls

Max accompanies Caroline on a trip to a white-collar prison to see Caroline’s father (Steven Weber), who encourages them to make a purchase at the Channing estate auction

A powerful divorce lawyer with a lot of enemies is murdered; the three-month separation between Booth and Brennan starts to take its toll.

Episode: Chained Heat
When Miles and the gang realize they need help rescuing Danny, they search for Nora, a rebel fighter; Danny learns what Capt. Neville is capable of.

Monday September 17th What You Should Watch

Next to “Nashville” the new show I am most looking forward to is “Revolution”.  The wait is over the show premieres tonight at 10 on NBC. I actually got to watch the pilot on iTunes last week. It was ok, I wasn’t blown away, but intrigued enough to come back for episodes 2 and 3 before I decide to keep or delete off the DVR.

“Bones” season 8 premiers at 8pm on FOX, this show really should have called it quits after season 5, but it is a ratings champ for FOX so it keeps on keeping on. Perhaps it will rebound this year.  Interesting fun fact, David Boreanaz has been on TV with no breaks for the last 15 years and 3 series. That has to be some kind of record, he played Angel on “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” for three seasons, then “Angel” for 5 seasons, followed immediately by “Bones” for the last 7.  Bones producer Stephan Nathan just revealed that they are currently negotiating with Boreanaz and Emily Deschanel for 2 more seasons.

The series premiere of “The Mob Doctor” at 9pm on FOX.   I don’t think any of us believes that “The Mob Doctor” will last more than a few episodes. I am not even setting the DVR.

ABC is airing a 3 hour special, from 8 to 11pm of highlights from the 4 day Country Music Association Festival.  I wonder how many times the “Nashville” promos will run during this show.

CBS is repeats from 8 to 11, and The CW is running back to back new episodes of  The LA Complex at 8 and 9.

The Blind Auditions continue on The Voice on NBC at 8.

Episode: Pilot
In a world without electricity, an American family struggles to reunite.

After Brennan is accused of murder, her father (Ryan O’Neal) helps her hide from the FBI; Booth and the team think an evil tech genius (Andrew Leeds) manipulated evidence to implicate Brennan.

The Mob Doctor

Episode: Pilot
Dr. Grace Devlin struggles to meet the demands of her job at Chicago’s Roosevelt Memorial Center as she also works for the mafia men to whom she is indebted.
CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock

Highlights of the four-day event featuring today’s hottest country music stars; Luke Bryan and Kimberly Perry host.

The Smash season finale is tonight, will it be Ivy or Karen, or will they keep us waiting all summer.
