Mad Men and The Killing

This season of Mad Men has been once crazy trip, LSD reference intended. I really hate Megan and can’t wait to see it all end, but how will Matt Weiner do it. Vincent Kartheiser has delivered a top performance, it would be nice if he finally won his much deserved Emmy. Not to mention Elisabeth Moss and of course John Hamm.  But I think this year’s Best Actor Emmy will go to Hugh Laurie, it was House’s final season and he has been nominated so many times without a win, he had become the Susan Lucci of the Primetime Emmy’s.

As far as The Killing, I really hoped it would improve over last year, it did pick up the pace a bit, but the red herrings and side stories ruin would could have been a great procedural drama.  If it wasn’t for the relationship between Holder and Linden I wouldn’t keep watching.

Mad Men

Don’s challenged by a pitch; Peggy considers a trip.

The Killing

Episode: 72 Hours
Sarah moves unsteadily; Stan tries to make amends; Richmond gets a boost in the mayoral race.
