Thursday 3/15 What You Should Watch, The Vampire Diaries, Awake, Missing Premieres

15 Mar

CBS has the NCAA. All the other networks are airing all new episodes of their top shows. ABC is premiering a new show “Missing”, starring Ashley Judd, as a CIA agent looking for her missing son. It reminds of the Liam Neesom movie Taken, lets hope they are not selling her son into white slavery.

Fox is running the Touch pilot again at 9 after American Idol.

Awake continues its run tonight at 10pm on NBC, check it out.

Top Spot – The Vampire Diaries

Finally a new episode of TVD, to make it even better, Cassidy Freeman (Tess from Smallville) is guest starring. Love Her!!! I wonder who the serial killer is, it would be brilliant if it is Matt. But I have a feeling it is Alaric, its some residual from when Klaus took over his body.

The Vampire Diaries

Episode: 1912
Current murders in Mystic Falls remind Damon of a similar crime spree in 1912; Elena and Matt try to prove that Dr. Fell (Torrey Devitto) is a killer

Episode: Pilot
When 18-year-old Michael Winstone goes missing while studying abroad, his mother, former CIA operative Becca, suspects foul play and immediately travels to Europe to track him down.

Episode: Guilty
Rex is kidnapped by an escaped convict Michael arrested 10 years ago; an investigation in Michael’s other reality gets in the way of an event honoring his deceased son; clues from both realities lead to Michael’s sanity being questioned.

Tuesday 3/6 What You Should Watch

6 Mar

Ringer is new tonight, last week Bridget found out Andrew is not as perfect as she thought. He is behind the Ponzi scheme, I wonder if the wedding is off.  She pretty much has to forgive him, she would be a hypocrite if she didn’t. Siobhan is having twins, which can only mean we are going to have the one is Andrew and one is Henry’s storyline. Juliet’s mother double crossed Mr C and stole the money, I bet somebody ends up dead by the end of the season.

Fox is bringing back Breaking In tonight, did anyone watch this last season. I watched it for one reason, Michael Rosenbaum, I loved hm as Lex Luthor on Smallville. He was pretty much wasted on this show and I don’t think he is back this year. We also have new episodes of New Girl, Raising Hope and I Hate My Teenage Daughter.

Over on ABC, Cougar Town is running the last of its new episodes, it won’t be back next year. The River continues its journey, I have not watched this at all. Have you?

Agent Machado’s past is revealed; Siobhan deceives Malcolm; Tyler takes a key piece of evidence in Siobhan’s plan for revenge; Henry must stop Bridget from interfering with his plans.

Breaking In

When Oz sells the company to a corporate conglomerate, the brash head of the business and her bad-tempered assistant turn the office upside down

New Girl

Episode: Injured
When Jess learns that injured Nick doesn’t have insurance, she brings him to her friend — who is a gynecologist.

Raising Hope

When Sabrina is arrested after attending an Occupy Natesville protest, one of the jail attendants (Katy Perry) commits to making her imprisonment as awful as possible; Virginia helps the mayor avoid a scandal.

I Hate My Teenage Daughter

A night-school teacher (Mark Consuelos) takes an interest in Annie when she and Nikki attend his class; the dads work to get the girls to finish an important project.

Cougar Town

Bobby takes an interest in Travis’s photography professor, but Travis refuses to introduce them; Laurie develops feelings for a man she has only spoken to on twitter; Jules and Andy prepare to face off with a group of kids.

The River

The Magus crew finds Emmet’s camera bag containing tapes, leading it further into the Amazon; Lena reveals a secret.

Friday 1/6 Ratings and News

6 Jan

ABC was all new last night and easily won the night in adults 18-49.

Grey’s Anatomy returned with an impressive 4.5 rating. Lets see how it does next week when CBS returns with the new episodes.

The Vampire Diaries had a 1.4 rating, exactly the same as the last new episode it aired on November.

News Tib Bits

Let the negotiating begin, possible pay cut for Ryan Seacrest puts his AI future in doubt (psst he wants Matt Lauer‘s job)

Grey’s does Fringe, they are doing an alternate reality episode. Hope it works out  better than last season’s musical episode

NBC is considering bringing Canadian  medical drama Saving Hope to the US. It stars one of the greatest actresses of our time Erica Durance (Lois Lane on Smallville).  If you followed Smallville and read the fan boards the you know I am kidding. She was the worst thing that ever happened to Lois Lane of the Superman mythos, expect for Bryan Singer‘s Superman Returns. But I digress.

I loved this show, I had every season on DVD, lost them all in my divorce. Until I can build my collection back up, I can DVR the daily repeats on TNT.  Michael Rosenbaum, John Glover, Annette O’Toole, John Schneider, Allison Mack and Tom Welling loved each and everyone.

Say what you want about this show it was The WB’s highest rated show for years.

Seasons 1-10 in under 5 minutes

Season 3, has some of the best episodes of the series, if you have the time it is worth the time to view them all.

Covenant – Season finale

Season 4 was dodgy in spots, it introduced us to Lois Lane (ugh) and Jason Teague (be still my heart, Jensen Ackles) but sufficed as a bridge for the last really good season this show had #5.

Season 5

Vessel – This would have been a great series finale, but they had to muck it up with seasons 6 thru 10
