Fringe has two episodes left this season, that news is easier to swallow now that I know they have renewed it for a 5th season. Granted it’s only 13 episodes and it is the final. But at least they have an opportunity to give the show and the fans a proper ending.
Also new tonight Supernatural, I stopped watching for a season or two when they did that whole Dean/Satan storyline, but the last few weeks with Dick Roman and Bobby’s ghost have been really good. The announced a new EP for next season, so even though they haven’t officially announced it has been renewed I can’t imagine they would cancel it now.
After a wealthy matriarch mysteriously dies and her stepdaughter loses everything in a Ponzi scheme, Hank and Nick investigate; Juliette tries to help Nick find closure.
When an attempt is made on the life of a witness in Danny and Jackie’s care, they realize the task force has a leak; Erin receives a job offer that would have her working with her father.
Dick Roman (James Patrick Stuart) acquires a hard drive that contains sensitive information about Dean and Sam; Bobby tries to help the brothers retrieve the hard drive, but his anger toward Dick gets in the way.
Fringe is all new tonight, and after last weeks Peter and Olivia reunion I can’t wait to see what the show has in store for us the rest of the season. Tonight’s episode looks like it is more about the creature of the week than P&O.
Blue Bloods is back tonight, when are they going to get back to Jamie’s undercover gig, that is the storyline I am most interested in.
When a weapon linked to a crime is brought into the NYPD’s gun buyback program, Danny must decide whether to arrest the suspect or follow the “no questions asked” policy.
Nick and Monroe investigate when a shop owner becomes the victim of a grisly murder; Nick thinks he has found an ally; Sgt. Wu becomes entangled in Adalind’s plan
Did you hear Grimm has been renewed for season 2, no surprise there, it was one of the few succesful shows NBC has this season.
Top Spot: Fringe
After the heartbreaking cliff hanger of the winter finale I’m not sure I want to watch, but I must. Will Peter get home, will Olivia’s memories continue to fade and what new pearls of wisdom will Walter share.
A Gifted Man moves to 9pm tonight, it will remain in this time slot thru March when it completes it’s first season. Odds are it won’t be renewed, if it is, look for a big changes. I guess the season ending cliffhanger will have something to do with Kate leaving her husband and ending up on Michael’s doorstep.
Last week on Fringe they dropped a bombshell, amber Olivia has the memories of Peter’s Olivia. I suspect they were injected by the mystery men we saw a few episodes back. The plot of last week’s episode centered around blending alt-universes together. Are we headed that way this season, if we are will Walter find the safe zone to prevent total destruction? The observer told Olivia she was going to die, last years season finale had Alt-Olivia dying, this year I think this Olivia has to die so Peter can get home. Now that AMber Olivia has other Olivia’s memories she and Peter will grow close, and her death will be bitter-sweet as Peter goes home with the memories of the Amberverse. But will Olivia be alive when he gets there?
As the team investigates a mentally ill patient who seems to be connected to a series of murders, frightening clues and connections lead Olivia to a shocking conclusion.
Sam and Dean return to a small town where a demon they exorcised four years ago has returned; a psych ward patient recounts his memories of being possessed.
When a man’s family is beaten and robbed in front of him, the Regans debate how far they would go to protect the ones they love; Frank feels conflicted when a college student is arrested at a rally
After a wealthy woman dies of a heart attack, the daughter claims God told her that murder was the true cause of her parent’s demise; Frank investigates a rumor about a priest.
Blue Bloods droped 4 tenths from last week, but CBS still wins the night in the 18-49 demo, with an overall rating of 1.5 and a 5 share, total viewers for the night, 9.86 million.
Fringe hit s series low, 1.1 rating and a 3 share, total viewers 3 million. It seems like the more complex the show gets the less viewers it has. Is this a symptom of the dumbing down of America.
Grimm held its own against CSI:NY, Grimm’s rating/share was 1.5/5 vs CSI‘s 1.7/5, but it had half the viewers, 5 million vs CSI’s 10 million.
A Gifted Man, held it’s own, if this keeps up it may get a stay of execution.
What does it all mean, Fringe could get canclled, Nikita will get cancelled, this is most likely the last season for Supernatural and Grimm may just hang in there.
TGIF – I know clichéd, but I am so glad this week is over. What a way to start the weekend, Fringe, Grimm and Blue Bloods.
What are you watching tonight? Or are you going out, got a hot date perhaps? Lets hear all about it in the comments.
Top Spot, big surprise, Fringe, it may be on the cancellation list, but I really don’t think Fox will cancel. They are halfway thru season 4, I can’t see them not giving it a season 5. Five seasons will fetch more in syndication, this show could run on SyFy or TNT.
Next up
Blue Bloods, I am so glad my parents turned me onto this show. It is a solid police show, with warm and fuzzy family stuff. I am not thrilled with Jackie (Jennifer Esposito) going undercover and the trailer monkey’s making it look like she is facing certain peril, but hey I will go with it. Maybe it won’t be predictable. Can we please get back to Jamie’s (Will Estes) deep cover gig.
Grimm, still watching, curiosity has the better of me. I really hope it doesn’t get cancelled. So far we have covered Red Riding Hood and Goldilocks. I wonder what it will be this week, the description mentions a flash mob. Also, Nick has to protect the woman who tried to kill him and his aunt. Something tells me she is the demon he falls in love with, does Buffy and Spike sound familiar to anyone.
Supernatural, can’t give up on my Winchester boys, even after last season.
A Gifted Man, yes I know its going to be cancelled soon, lets hope Patrick Wilson has an overall deal with CBS and he lands another show. Look at Alex O’Laughlin, he went from Moonlight, to Three Rivers before he landed a hit with Hawaii 5-0.
The team searches for a pattern in tragic time-loop anomalies; an electrical engineer (Stephen Root), his wife (Romy Rosemont), and a professor become involved with the investigation.
Michael feels conflicted when he learns that a patient (John Benjamin Hickey) with a malignant brain tumor was responsible for a terrible crime; a firefighter (Mamie Gummer) is brought in for an evaluation after appearing to be disoriented
