Well it is a busy night tonight, GCB premieres on ABC, The Good Wife is back, Celebrity Apprentice, The Amazing Race and Once Upon A Time are all new tonight.
Lets discuss GCB, formerly titled, Good Christian Bitches then changed to Belles, now just GCB. It is written by Robert Harling, the man responsible for “Steel Magnolia’s” and produced by Darren Starr, the man responsible for 90210, and Melrose Place just to name a few. It is based on the book Good Christian Bitches by Kim Gatlin.
The series centers around Amanda Vaughn (Leslie Bibb), former high-school “Queen Bitch,” a recently-divorced single mother of two who returns to her hometown, Dallas. She meets the former schoolmates she used to mock: Carlene Cockburn (Kristin Chenoweth), Good Christian’s Dallas and GCB “Queen”; Sharon Peacham (Jennifer Aspen), who was beautiful in high school and is now insecure and does the bulk of Carlene’s bidding; glamorous gossip queen Heather Cruz (Marisol Nichols); and Cricket Caruth-Reilly (Miriam Shor), powerful Dallas real-estate agent whose husband Blake (Mark Deklin) is gay.[5] Amanda and her children reside with her 50-something mother Gigi Stopper (Annie Potts), who still acts like a 20-something.
I will check it out, but I don’t think it or I will be sticking around.
